Customer
Damart is a French company that specializes in clothing. Established in 1953, the brand became a household name in France and the United Kingdom. Although it specializes in a material called Thermolactyl, known for insulation, the label has expanded to include fashion items for the senior market.
Damart faced a technical debt that needed a permanent and scalable solution. Delayed functionality upgrades had resulted was a less-than-optimal IT performance, and this was affecting their business. They realized the need for a migration that would encompass Oracle and its operating system to handle technical constraints, such as an Oracle Linux, Virtualization Manager, VMware and outdated network.
Solution
The client was looking for a complete solution with an implementation partner to manage the migration project.
Eviden collaborated with Google to propose a move to the Google Cloud VMware Engine. This would be the first step before apps modernization, and the entire presales phase lasted for 18 months. Technical workshops helped deconstruct the existing IT infrastructure and design a comprehensive, secure, and scalable solution.
In line with Eviden’s workshop findings and detailed analysis, Damart was confident to migrate to Google Cloud VMware Engine and Bare Metal with an Oracle Linux Virtualization Manager layer.
